Attendance

To gain the most out of dance classes, it is important for your dancer to attend on a regular basis. We are understanding of illness and other circumstances, and in those cases we ask you to please contact us and let us know if your child will miss class or arrive late. Missed classes may be made up by attending a similar class. Please check with your student’s teacher for a make-up class recommendation and to make sure there is space in that class. Make-up classes must be completed within 30 days of the missed class. Absolutely no refunds will be given for missed classes. Perfect attendance ribbons will be awarded at the end of the year for qualified students. Every student is given one “free” absence a semester and absences can be excused by providing appropriate notice before class.

Withdrawals

We sincerely hope there will be no reason for you to withdraw your dancer from Pure Energy Dance Productions. In any event, you may withdraw from any class by providing written notice using the studio withdrawal form. Withdrawals must be completed before the 7th of the month, or monthly tuition will still be charged for that month. If a withdrawal takes place after the 7th of the month, a $20.00 withdrawal fee will be charged in addition to that month’s tuition.

Classes and Schedule

PEDP reserves the right to cancel any class if there is an insufficient number of students registered for that class. A minimum of five students is required for each class or summer camp. The schedule is subject to change to best meet the needs of our students.

Tuition and Registration

An annual, non-refundable registration fee of $30 ($50 cap for families) is required for all students upon enrollment at PEDP.

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. If tuition is not received by the 7th of each month, a $10.00 late fee will be added.

Additionally, all families are required to have a valid credit or debit card number on file. If tuition has not been received by the 14th of the month, your credit/debit card will automatically be charged. Automatic monthly draft by credit/debit card can be set up. Tuition may be paid by cash, check or major credit card. Checks should be made payable to Pure Energy Dance Productions with your dancers name in the memo. There is a $30.00 fee on all returned checks. Class tuition does not vary month to month regardless of the amount of lessons in that month.

Recital

Beginning in January, each academy class will begin learning a routine that will be performed in our full costume annual recital which will be held on a Sunday in May. Combination classes will learn two routines. A full dress rehearsal will be held the Saturday before recital.

Recital Fee: Amount TBD. The recital fee covers the cost of the event, such as auditorium rental, sound and lighting equipment and crews, and programs. Recital fees are due by February 1st.

Recital Costumes: Every routine will receive its own, carefully selected costume. Your dancer will be measured in their class to determine the appropriate size. Costume prices usually range from $50-65 per routine, depending on the costume and vendor. A $50 costume deposit will be required in November and will be deducted from your final costume cost. The remainder of the costume fees will be due in January.

More specific information regarding recital will be provided during the spring as recital approaches.

Dates and Events Awareness

It is the responsibility of the parent to be aware of important dates and events such as recital, picture day, make up classes, or studio closures. All such notices will be posted on the “Studio News” tab of the website, the website calendar, the studio bulletin board and calendar, and by notices sent home with the student. The parent should regularly check these resources and their emails to keep informed. The parent should also inform the studio of any changes to their address, email, telephone number, or other contact information.

Student Care

PEDP is not responsible for providing care for students before or after dance class. Students should not be left at the studio for an excessive amount of time before or after dance class.

Missed Lessons Due to Extenuating Circumstances and Substitutes

In the event that PEDP must close due to inclement weather, power outages, etc we will do everything possible to make up for the missed lessons. PEDP also reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute teacher for a class in the event that the regularly scheduled teacher is unable to teach the class. If a substitute cannot be found for the class, the class will be made up.
